Dr. Alex Dolgov was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Shortly after, his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Alex started his childhood and early career focusing on swimming. He earned an athletic scholarship at Wright State University where he also obtained his Bachelor’s and Master of Science in Chemistry. Dr. Alex continued on and completed his doctoral degree at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Aside from his academic achievements, Dr. Alex was a former national qualifying swimmer and team captain at WSU. Additionally, he is a 10-time Horizon League Conference champion and a 3-time MVP. He even had the opportunity to compete against the greatest Olympic swimmer of all time, Michael Phelps.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Alex’s top priority is patient comfort. “I want my patients to feel that they are in good hands. We welcome everyone, regardless of your current oral health conditions. Whether it be me or our trusted specialists, I want to help and direct you in finding the right care.”
Dr. Alex’s approach to dentistry is maintaining and preserving natural tooth structure. “I feel my goal as a dentist is to maximize functionality and enhance esthetics for you to feel confident in your smile. Most importantly, my purpose is to help improve your quality of life.”
In his spare time, Dr. Alex enjoys playing beach volleyball, hiking, traveling to different cities, and swimming in the waves.
